The Brain Gain Program is aimed for a person who has done significant research work abroad for at least four years and is now returning to Finland to bring their skills and experience for the benefit of Finnish research. The Brain Gain program's grant is 2.5 million euros for a period of five years and it covers the researcher's personal salary costs and partially also the research group's salary costs and research costs.
